
1. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF EMPLOYEES
INTRODUCTION
All employees agree to abide to any reasonable instructions instructions, policies and procedure given by their employer, business or controller of the workplace. Below is a list of rights and obligations of all employees.
EQUALITY
XYLEM and it's affiliates condemns all kinds of injustices including social justice issues such as the gender pay gap, racial discrimination, and discrimination based on sexual orientation. Discrimination takes many forms, including, but not limited to, discrimination based on traits such as: Gender, Sexual orientation, Race, Age, Physical and mental disabilities, Pregnancy and Religious beliefs. Equality in the workplace is paramaount
CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE
All employees have a duty of care to act in the employers' best interest and in good faith, and this will include a duty not to divulge confidential information about his employers business to others without the consent of the employer. That, the breach of confidentiality clause is due to unethical actions of the employers and employees and is subject to termination of employment.
LEAVE
All employees are entitled to an annual paid leave of 30 days. Leave may be taken at once or in a cumulative manner throughout the year. Women are allowed a paid maternity leave of 12 weeks. Sick leave or any other leave of an emergency nature is allowed and is subject to analysis of the employees. It's the employee's obligation to provide evidence whenever he or she requests for leave of an emergency nature. All official leave should be requested using the official leave form that can be downloaded below.
CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT
All workers will be provided with an employment contract at the start of employment except those who work less than 6 days in a month. The organization has the right to issue contracts to competent candidates based on merits.
FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION
All employees are allowed to join any legally existing association they deem beneficial to them.
